Chad M. Bauman is the Director of Communications at Arena Stage, where he supervises the marketing, media relations, publications, sales and front of house departments. Founded by Zelda Fichandler, Arena Stage was one of the nation’s original resident theaters. With the opening of the Mead Center for American Theater in 2010, Arena Stage is a leading center for the production, presentation, development and study of American theater. Now in its sixth decade, Arena Stage serves a diverse annual audience of more than 350,000. Previously, he was the Director of Marketing and Communications at Americans for the Arts, the nation’s leading non-profit for advancing the arts in America. At Americans for the Arts, he was responsible for all earned revenue goals, branding, strategic communications, and promoting the organization's more than 480 different programs. Chad is a prolific speaker and consultant, working with clients nationwide. In 2010, he was named one of the most influential under-40 leaders in our nation's capital by Washington Life Magazine. He is graduate of the California Institute of the Arts, where he received his M.F.A. in Theatre Management and Producing.
